Celtic will bid to book their place in the Champions league proper when they take on Malmo later tonight.

Manager Ronny Delia has overseen an unbeaten start to the season with his side winning three and drawing one of their opening four league games and also overcoming the challenge of Karabakh-Azersu and UMF Stjarnan in the previous Champions league qualifying rounds.

The Norwegian manager is set to welcome back Nadir Ciftci to the squad with the Turkish striker banned domestically while new signing Scottt Allan, captured from Hibernian last week is included in the squad.

Playmaker Kris Commons missed the 4-2 weekend win over Inverness due to a dead leg but is set to be included.

The Scottish side’s strong start to the season which puts them second in the Scottish Premier League and on the cusp of the Champions league group stages and increased confidence in the camp and according to their manager Malmo are in for a tricky night.

“We want to be in the Champions League. That’s the goal, I’ve said that since coming to this club” said Delia.

“Now we have two games to reach it. The most important thing is to win and get a good result. I can’t remember when we last lost a game and the team is in good shape, we have a lot of confidence.

“We also know that to get a clean sheet is very important in European football. We just have to be the best we can be and if we do that and don’t succeed then we’re not good enough. But I think if we are at our best, it’s going to be tough for Malmo.”
Malmo knocked out Salzburg in the last round but currently sit fifth in the Swedish top flight as they look to defend their title.

The Swedish side will be without suspended pair, captain Markus Rosenborg and defensive midfielder Enoch Kofi Adu.
