Chelsea superstar confronts PSG transfer rumours head on

Category: Uncategorized

Eden Hazard has insisted that he has no plans of signing for Paris Saint-Germain, and has hinted that he is not looking to leave Chelsea any time soon.

Speaking to the media after finding the net in Belgium’s 3-2 friendly victory over Norway on Sunday evening—quotes as per the Express—Hazard addressed speculation linking him with a move to the French giants.

“PSG are not part of my plans,” the 25-year-old began. “I have a contract until 2020, I feel good at Chelsea and I don’t want to finish on a season like we had.

“Everything was complicated,” he concluded. “It was difficult.”

The forward moved to Stamford Bridge from LOSC Lille in 2012, and while he took his time to find his consistency in the Premier League, he was a key performer during the 2014-15 season as the Blues clinched the title under Jose Mourinho.

During that campaign, the attacker managed to score 14 goals and contribute nine assists for the Pensioners, cementing his status as one of the EPL’s key performers.

However, he flopped during the 2015-16 season, scoring just four and contributing three assists—much of which came during the final weeks of the campaign—as the west Londoners failed miserable to retain their title.

Incoming boss Antonio Conte can take encouragement from the star’s words and look to rehabilitate Hazard next term as a key member of his squad.
